About The Role As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disability.
Supported Independent
Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance. Line 1 We are currently looking to fill 2 permanent part time positions. You must be available for all shifts in your preferred line: Week 1 Monday 8pm to 6am (active) Wednesday 6am to 2pm Thursday 6am to 9am Friday 2pm to 8pm Saturday 2pm to 8pm Week 2 Monday 2pm to 8pm Tuesday 8pm to 6am Thursday 2:30pm to 11:30pm Line 2 Week 1 Monday 6am to 9:30am Tuesday 6am to 2pm Thursday 2pm to 8pm Friday 6am to 9am Saturday 6am to 2pm Sunday 11:30pm to 9:30am (active)
Week 2 Tuesday 6am to 2pm Wednesday 6am to 2pm Please Note: It is important to understand that our clients’ needs, and their support plans can change which also means that our roster lines may change and will be confirmed at the time of offer.
Key Responsibilities Provide day to day High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA) for residents
Work within a medical unit, providing medication assistance, personal care, complex bowel support
Track and document the changing needs of clients through thorough record-keeping
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and your team
Advocate for client choice and control in a way that is safe and compliant Skills & Experience An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle is required
Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011 Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
