Electrical & Controls Engineer

Your New Opportunity:

As the Electrical and Controls Engineer, you will be involved in the design and integration of electrical and control systems, and the commissioning of these systems to AEMO guidelines. You will analyse commissioning data and interpret system behaviour to meet design requirements.

Energy Solutions supplies Battery Energy Storage systems, Microgrids, continuous power, prime power, emergency standby power, and mobile applications, as well as efficiency-optimising solutions integrating cogeneration systems.

About you:

- Appropriate tertiary Electrical Engineering qualifications.
- Registered professional engineer with RPEQ is desirable
- Strong interest and knowledge in Power Systems, energy storage systems comprising of inverters, transformers and electrical switchgear.
- 5 years minimum experience required in a similar capacity
- Hands-on commissioning specialist
- Experience working with PLC systems and protection relays.
- Fluent with AS3000, AS3008, AS 61439, AS 4777 and other relevant standards.
- Ability to select switchgear and electrical components for auxiliary distribution.
- Experience in an electrical switchboard production setting.
- Ability to produce electrical schematics, single-line drawings, preferably AutoCAD Electrical.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD software and business operating systems
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
