Role Description

This is a full-time Electrical Engineer role based in Mackay.

The Electrical

Engineer will be responsible for designing, analysing, and ensuring the optimal performance of electrical systems and components in heavy industrial and infrastructure environments. Day-to-day tasks include developing electrical designs, conducting power distribution planning, schematics and overhauls, PLC work, overseeing power systems,



troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

We offer in-house training for any shortcomings in necessary skills. The role will also involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, providing technical support, and contributing to project execution and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in Electrical Design and Electrical Engineering principles
- Robust knowledge of Power Distribution and Power Systems
- Understanding of fundamental and applied electrical concepts related to industrial and/or mining engineering
- Ability or willingness to learn to analyse and troubleshoot electrical systems in industrial environments
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience in the mining, infrastructure, or heavy industrial sectors is highly desirable
- Commitment to safety and quality standards, including familiarity with ISO 9001 systems
- Capability to work collaboratively in team-oriented environments and adapt to changing project conditions
