Position Overview:
The Electrical Engineer will be focused on the design and development of new Franna Crane products and continuously improving the current product portfolio.
This position will report to the Principal Electrical Engineer and support a dynamic design team of electrical engineers as part of the wider Franna Engineering team.
Franna is an OEM business, all design, engineering, testing and production on site in Eagle Farm.

Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct design and development of new products in accordance with the Terex New Product and Process Development process.
- Conduct design and development of Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) projects, ensuring they meet project requirements, safety standards, and performance specifications.
- Ensure that all electrical designs and products comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct the testing and validation of electrical systems fitted to prototypes, ensuring they meet functional performance requirements and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, such as System Engineering, Integration, Test, Mechanical and Software Engineering, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other components.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering (or complementary degree).
- Preferably registered Professional Engineer (RPEQ).
- Experience using E3 electrical design software.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal. Includes proficiency using MS Office.
- Extended design knowledge of automotive electrical systems.
- Knowledge of automotive CANBUS systems and SAE J 1939.
- Exposure to heavy equipment.
Highly Valued Experience:
- Proficiency in NX or similar CAD tools.
- Extended electrical design knowledge of mobile equipment, cranes, Australian and International Standards, electrical control systems, pneumatic systems, and power transmission components.
- Automotive electrical systems design experience.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Design principles.
