Electrical Engineer / Industry Trainer
Full-Time | Based in Keysborough VIC

Infinispark is an Australian company designing and manufacturing innovative practical training equipment for the electrotechnology industry. Our equipment is used by TAFEs, RTOs, Schools, Universities, Defence, Rail, Mining, and Electrical Industry organisations across Australia.
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer / Industry Trainer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an electrical industry professional who enjoys working with people, explaining technical concepts, demonstrating equipment, and helping others develop their skills.
You will work directly with customers and industry partners across Australia, demonstrating Infinispark equipment to potential customers, providing product and technical training to customers following purchase, and creating resources that trainers can use to deliver practical learning experiences to their students.
Regular interstate travel is an essential part of this role.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include
- Delivering face-to-face and virtual product and technical training.
- Conducting hands-on demonstrations covering equipment operation, features, maintenance, and safety to customers and industry partners.
- Providing onboarding and implementation training to customers following the purchase of Infinispark equipment.
- Developing lesson plans, practical exercises, trainer guides, presentations, instructional videos, and other resources that enable trainers to effectively use Infinispark equipment with their students.
- Being the first point of contact for customers for product training and technical support.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, trainers, educators, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Working with internal teams to identify opportunities to improve products, training, customer experience, and sales support.
- Maintaining a high standard of product presentation, equipment set-up, and training delivery.
About You We are looking for someone with strong electrical industry knowledge and technical credibility who genuinely enjoys supporting and developing others.
You may be an experienced trainer looking for a new opportunity, or you may be an electrical engineer or industry professional looking for a training and customer-facing role.
Required Skills & Experience
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent electrical qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience delivering technical, product, or industry-based training.
- A robust understanding of electrical safety and electrical concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and confidence engaging with customers.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when setting up and presenting equipment.
- The ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple, practical terms.
- Well-developed planning and organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A team-oriented, team-focused approach.
Technology Skills You will be comfortable using technology and digital tools, including:
- Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint.
- Microsoft SharePoint.
- Online meeting and virtual training platforms e.g. Microsoft Teams
- AI and productivity tools.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in a TAFE, RTO, or formal training environment would be highly regarded but is not essential.
- A strong understanding of Australian Standards, especially AS/NZS 3000
- Experience creating instructional videos, digital learning content, blogs or articles
- Learning Management Systems (LMS).
