Role Description The Electrical Engineer role at PE Consulting Engineers is a full-time, in office position based in Gold Coast, QLD. This role involves designing electrical systems for building services and infrastructure projects, including power distribution, lighting, communications, and security systems.

The Electrical

Engineer will prepare drawings, specifications, and technical reports, perform calculations and load assessments, and support energy assessment, solar, and storage solutions.



Daily responsibilities include coordinating with mechanical and communications engineering teams, engaging with clients and contractors, contributing to project planning and budgets, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The role also includes participating in site inspections, reviewing installations, and supporting commissioning activities to ensure quality and performance.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and Electricity concepts, with the ability to apply them to building and infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in Electrical Design for building light and power, communications, security, and related systems.
- Experience with Power Distribution and Power Systems, including load analysis, reticulation design, and substation or network design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline; eligibility for or current professional accreditation is an advantage.
- Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings, use relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar), and follow industry standards and codes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, multidisciplinary teams, and contractors.
- Experience in consulting engineering, building services, or infrastructure projects is highly beneficial.
