Electrical Engineering Expert (AI Training) About The Role We're looking for electrical engineering experts to help train and improve cutting-edge AI models. Your deep technical knowledge will directly shape how AI understands and reasons through complex engineering problems — from circuit analysis to power systems to signal processing. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role that lets you contribute to frontier AI research on your own schedule.
Organization: Alignerr
Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Design challenging problems — Create advanced electrical engineering problems across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, electromagnetics, signal processing, and control systems to probe and stress-test AI reasoning
Author gold-standard solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning and evaluation
Audit AI outputs — Review AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, equations, and mathematical proofs for technical accuracy, safety, and adherence to engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, etc.)
Refine AI reasoning — Identify logical errors and flawed assumptions in AI responses, then provide structured feedback to improve the model's engineering reasoning
Work asynchronously — Complete tasks independently on your own schedule with no set hours or meetings Who You Are Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
Strong foundational expertise in one or more core areas: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, embedded systems, or signal processing
Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and precisely in writing
Detail-oriented — you catch errors in equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation that others miss
No prior AI or data annotation experience required Nice to Have Experience with data annotation, data quality review, or evaluation systems
Familiarity with LLMs or AI model training workflows
Background in engineering simulation tools or technical documentation Why Join Us Work on frontier AI projects with leading research labs and teams
Fully remote and versatile — you set your own schedule
Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
Gain rare, hands-on exposure to how advanced AI models are built and trained
Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
