Electrical Engineering — AI Data Trainer About The Role We're looking for experienced electrical engineers to help train and improve the next generation of AI models. Your deep technical knowledge will directly shape how AI reasons through complex engineering problems — from circuit analysis to embedded systems to power electronics. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role.
You set your hours, work asynchronously, and apply your expertise in a way that makes a lasting impact on AI development.
Organization: Alignerr
Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Design Challenging Problems — Develop advanced electrical engineering problems across domains including circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, and control systems to rigorously test AI performance
Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write precise, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning and evaluation
Audit Technical Accuracy — Review AI-generated outputs — including code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs — for correctness, safety, and alignment with engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, etc.)
Improve AI Reasoning — Identify flaws in AI logic and provide structured, actionable feedback that helps models think more accurately about engineering tasks
Document Failure Modes — Probe models on topics like embedded systems, signal processing, robotics, and simulations, and systematically log where and how they break down Who You Are Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field (Master's — currently pursuing or completed — or PhD)
Strong domain expertise in one or more core areas: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, or similar
Analytical communicator — you can explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely in writing
Detail-oriented — you catch errors in equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation that others miss
No prior AI experience required — if you know your engineering, we'll teach you the rest Nice to Have Experience with data annotation, technical evaluation, or quality assurance workflows
Familiarity with AI or large language model (LLM) evaluation Why Join Us Work on cutting-edge AI projects in collaboration with world-leading research labs
Fully remote and adaptable — work on your own schedule, from anywhere
Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
Gain firsthand exposure to how advanced LLMs are trained and evaluated
Meaningful work — your expertise directly improves AI reliability in technical domains
Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
