We have an opportunity at our Dandenong office for a Part time/Casual Electrical Safety Officer to join our Operations team. This role is approximately half a day per week or one full day per fortnight and is ideal for an experienced electrician looking to share their knowledge while helping us maintain the highest standards of electrical safety.
The Role:
- Review current electrical safety practices and recommend or implement improvements.
- Deliver electrical safety awareness and training sessions to employees.
- Train new employees, testing and verifying competency.
- Deliver annual electrical safety refresher training.
- Review, improve and maintain electrical wiring diagrams, electrical procedures and policies.
- Maintain and repair electrical test boxes, testing leads and other electrical equipment.
- Carry out testing and tagging of electrical equipment.
- Assist with general electrical maintenance and other electrical-related tasks around the site.
- Occasional travel to sites, or other Volution businesses in Melbourne metro to assess and carry out repairs.
The successful candidate should possess
- Holds a current A-Grade Electrical Licence
- Has extensive practical electrical experience
- Is passionate about electrical safety and best practice
- Enjoys mentoring, coaching and sharing knowledge
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Is organised, proactive and able to work independently
- Has experience in manufacturing or industrial environments (desirable but not essential)
