Senior Electrician – NSW Projects Team

We are a growing, mid-sized electrical contractor with established operations across Sydney, Brisbane and Newcastle, seeking an experienced Senior Electrician to join our NSW Projects Team. Unlike traditional builder-led construction companies, we work directly with long-standing commercial, government and critical infrastructure clients, delivering multi-disciplined upgrades within live operational facilities. Our projects include hospitals, airports, utilities, telecommunications, commercial buildings and other critical infrastructure where collaboration, planning and quality workmanship are paramount.

This role is ideal for an experienced electrician looking for greater variety, genuine client interaction and the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects in a supportive team environment.

Main Duties

- Carry out commercial and industrial electrical installations and upgrades.
- Lead small site teams and mentor apprentices,
- Assist Project Managers with planning, coordination and project delivery.
- Install, test and commission switchboards, generators, UPS systems, lighting, power and electrical infrastructure.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality and workmanship.
- Liaise professionally with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Complete testing, commissioning and project documentation.

About You

- Current NSW Electrical Licence.
- Current White Card.
- Current Driver Licence.
- Strong commercial and industrial electrical experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and within a collaborative team.

Experience Highly Regarded

- Switchboard installations and upgrades.
- Generator and UPS installations.
- Testing and commissioning.
- Working within live operational facilities.
- Experience leading small teams or acting as a Leading Hand.
