About The Opportunity Mining Skills Australia’s Emergency Management Department is expanding and seeking qualified Emergency Response Trainers to deliver training across Central and Southern Queensland.

Ideal candidates will have extensive hands-on experience in emergency response, with a robust background in vertical rescue and the confidence in training vertical rescue techniques. Exposure to the coal mining industry and its unique emergency response requirements is highly desirable. Applicants should also have proven experience in a training environment, including the delivery of structured programs, assessments, and mentoring.

Operational expertise in Fire & Rescue Services will be highly regarded. Join our team and help equip mining personnel with the critical skills needed to respond effectively in challenging environments.

Mandatory Qualifications Required To be eligible for these positions you must hold:

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent
- Certificate 3 in Emergency Response & Rescue
- Australian Driver’s Licence
- Standard 11 Induction
- Current CPR & First Aid – HLTAID009, HLTAID011, HLTAID014, HLTAID015
- Coal Board Medical (Rescue)
