We're working with a well-regarded national law firm looking to add an Employment & Workplace Lawyer to its growing Brisbane team.

The firm has established offices in Brisbane and Sydney and advises a diverse range of Australian and international clients across sectors including construction, maritime, engineering, healthcare, mining services, not-for-profit and qualified services.

The practice also acts for several US and European businesses, providing an interesting mix of advisory, industrial and litigation work that is difficult to find elsewhere in the Brisbane market.

The Role

Working closely with experienced employment partners, you'll be involved in a broad range of matters including:

- Unfair dismissal, adverse action and general protections claims
- Fair Work Commission conciliations and hearings
- Enterprise bargaining and industrial disputes
- Employment contracts, policies and workplace advice
- Workplace investigations and disciplinary matters
- Whistleblower and compliance issues
- Workplace health and safety advice (where relevant)

One of the strengths of this team is the level of responsibility junior lawyers receive. Rather than simply assisting on matters, you'll be encouraged to manage your own files,



run Fair Work Commission matters and build strong client relationships from an early stage.

That investment in junior lawyers is reflected in the firm's history, with a number of its current partners having started as clerks or paralegals before progressing through the ranks very quickly.

About You

We're interested in lawyers with approximately 1–5 years' PAE gained in employment law, industrial relations, litigation or a related practice area.

You'll be someone who enjoys working directly with clients, has strong drafting skills and is looking to accelerate your development by taking on meaningful responsibility.
