Location: Melbourne (Hybrid) Open to interstate candidates in WA, QLD, NSW
We're seeking an experienced EMS Engineer to join a major utilities organisation working on critical energy infrastructure. This is a highly specialised opportunity supporting the delivery, enhancement and integration of Energy Management Systems (EMS) that underpin real-time power system operations.
You'll be working on business-critical systems used within a control room setting, contributing to the development, configuration and automation of EMS functions that enable reliable operation of the electricity network.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure and support Energy Management System (EMS) solutions.
- Develop and automate systems and signals within the EMS environment.
- Support the integration and delivery of EMS applications into operational environments.
- Work closely with operational and engineering teams to ensure reliable and secure system performance.
- Assist with testing, commissioning and deployment activities across EMS platforms.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Proven experience working with Energy Management Systems (EMS).
- Experience within electricity transmission, distribution, utilities or other critical infrastructure environments.
- Strong understanding of EMS architecture, operational systems and control room environments.
- Experience creating and automating systems and signals.
- Understanding or practical experience with TETRA delivery.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in complex operational environments.
