Engagement & Development Coordinator

Join Volunteering WA and help strengthen the volunteering sector across Western Australia. Volunteering WA is the peak body for volunteering in WA and the leading voice for volunteers and Volunteer Involving Organisations (VIOs). We are seeking an enthusiastic and relationship-focused Engagement & Development Coordinator to support, engage and build the capacity of volunteer-involving organisations across the state.

About the Role

Reporting to the Manager Training & Development, this role sits within our Services Team and combines member engagement, training delivery, professional development coordination, and sector support. You will be responsible for supporting members throughout their journey with Volunteering WA, from initial enquiries and onboarding through to ongoing professional development opportunities. You will also play a key role in delivering training, facilitating networks and communities of practice, and ensuring volunteer-involving organisations have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Member Engagement

- Act as a key contact for current and prospective members.
- Support and guide organisations through their membership journey.
- Maintain member information and engagement processes within our CRM.
- Respond to enquiries and connect members with appropriate services and resources.
- Gather feedback, conduct evaluations,



and contribute to reporting and needs analysis.
- Coordinate networking, information-sharing and capacity-building activities, including:
- Information sessions
- Network meetings
- Communities of Practice
- Special Interest Groups

Training & Development

- Deliver engaging training programs both in person and online.
- Coordinate and maintain Volunteering WA's annual training calendar.
- Review, update and develop learning resources and training materials.
- Arrange and facilitate presentations by guest speakers and subject matter experts.
- Coordinate administration and delivery of the National Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Program.
- Manage participant communications, evaluations, and follow-up activities.

Sector Support

- Stay informed of current and emerging best practice in volunteer management and member engagement.
- Promote Volunteering WA's programs, services and events.
- Contribute positively to organisational initiatives and projects.

About You

You are a confident communicator and facilitator who enjoys building relationships and helping others succeed. You are highly organised, customer-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards.

Essential Skills & Experience

- Understanding of volunteer management principles and challenges.
- Experience delivering presentations,



training, workshops, or information sessions to groups.
- Experience facilitating online learning and engagement activities using platforms such as MS Teams.
- Ability to manage training and education activities from planning through to evaluation.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience using CRM systems such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Desirable

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalent training experience.
- Knowledge of the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement.
- Experience within the not-for-profit or community sector.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.

Additional Requirements

- Current WA driver's licence.
- Willingness to travel within the Perth metropolitan area.
- Occasional evening, regional and weekend work as required.
