Role Description This full time remote role for an Entry Level Software Developer / Junior Developer / Software Developer at EKACICO CI focuses on building, testing, and maintaining software applications under the guidance of more experienced team members. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, participating in code reviews, and troubleshooting and debugging issues.

The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, implement features, and contribute to technical documentation. The role also involves learning and applying best practices in software development, following version control procedures, and continuously improving skills through feedback and mentorship.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in Computer Science principles and Software Development practices, with an understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software lifecycle concepts.
- Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP),



including experience with at least one modern programming language (such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript).
- Basic experience or coursework in Back-End Web Development, including working with APIs, server-side frameworks, and databases.
- Ability to read, write, and maintain clear, well-documented code using version control tools (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new technologies and frameworks in a remote team environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to follow instructions, ask clarifying questions, and provide status updates.
- Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
