Our client is a recognised leader in delivering critical infrastructure across Australia's energy sector. With an impressive pipeline of transmission, utilities and major infrastructure projects, they continue to invest in their people, technology and capability. Due to sustained growth, an opportunity now exists for an experienced Estimator to join their high-performing commercial team.
Working closely with business development, operations and project delivery teams, you'll play a key role in preparing accurate, competitive and commercially sound estimates for major infrastructure projects. From tender review through to pricing strategy, subcontractor engagement and risk assessment, you'll help position the business for continued success.
This is a highly visible role where you'll collaborate with experienced project professionals and contribute to winning some of Australia's most significant energy infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for major infrastructure and energy projects
- Analyse tender documentation, specifications and drawings
- Develop pricing strategies and identify commercial opportunities and project risks
- Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Work closely with engineering, project delivery and commercial teams throughout the tender process
- Assist with bid submissions and client presentations where required
- Maintain estimating databases and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
About You You'll be an experienced Estimator with strong commercial acumen and a passion for delivering winning tenders.
Ideally you'll bring experience from sectors such as:
- Energy infrastructure
- Transmission & distribution
- Utilities
- Civil infrastructure
- Construction
- Major projects
You'll also demonstrate:
- Strong estimating and cost planning capability
- Excellent analytical and commercial skills
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings and tender documentation
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- A cooperative approach and desire to contribute to a successful team environment
