Estimator – Commercial Construction

$140,000 – $160,000 + Super (Negotiable Based on Experience)

Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team.

We deliver high-quality projects across the retail, industrial, commercial, sport & recreation, multi-residential and health sectors, earning a reputation for quality, innovation and integrity.

About the Role:

As our Commercial Construction Estimator, you'll manage the estimating process from initial enquiry through to tender submission and contract award.

Working closely with project managers, suppliers, subcontractors and senior leadership, you'll prepare accurate cost estimates, develop competitive tenders and provide the commercial insight that helps secure profitable projects.

This is a role where your experience, judgement and attention to detail will directly influence the continued success and growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare detailed cost estimates, take-offs and tender submissions

· Analyse construction drawings, specifications and project documentation

· Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations

· Prepare budgets, cost plans and pricing variations

· Identify commercial risks and opportunities during the tender process

· Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, consultants and project teams

· Monitor current market pricing for labour, materials and subcontractors

· Support negotiations and ensure a smooth handover to project delivery teams

· Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information

· Contribute ideas that improve estimating accuracy and tender success

Your "outside the box" thinking, solid planning and Estimating skills will be a huge asset in this role along with the ability to establish strong networking relationships.

What You'll Bring:

· Minimum 5 years' estimating experience within Australian commercial construction

· Solid understanding of commercial construction methods and building regulations

· Experience preparing competitive tenders and cost estimates

· Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications

· Strong procurement and subcontractor pricing experience

· Proficiency with Excel, EstimateOne, Cubit, MS Project or similar estimating software

· Excellent commercial judgement and attention to detail

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Degree qualification or equivalent industry experience highly regarded
