Understanding of ETL concepts (Extract, Transform, Load)

Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica MDM, PowerCenter, Talend, DataStage, SSIS, or equivalent

Data Warehousing concepts (EDW, Data Marts, Star/Snowflake Schema)

Data Mapping and Source-to-Target Mapping (STM) documentation

We are seeking a skilled Onshore ETL Technical Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and data engineering teams. The role involves analysing data requirements, defining transformation logic, and ensuring high-quality data integration across systems. The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in data analysis, ETL processes, and stakeholder engagement .

Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Analysis

- Gather and analyze business and data requirements from stakeholders
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications




- Define and document Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM)

Data Analysis & Profiling
- Analyze source systems, schemas, and data flows
- Perform data profiling, validation, and quality assessment
- Identify data issues, gaps, and inconsistencies

ETL & Data Integration Support
- Collaborate with ETL developers to:
- Define data transformation rules
- Support data cleansing and enrichment requirements
- Ensure data lineage and traceability
- Support integration across multiple systems

Documentation
- Create and maintain:
- Source-to-Target Mapping documents
- Data dictionaries and metadata
- Process and data flow diagrams
- Document business rules and transformation logic

Testing & Validation
- Develop test scenarios, test cases, and expected results
- Support SIT and UAT cycles
- Validate ETL outputs against business requirements and data rules

Stakeholder Management
- Act as a liaison between business, data engineers, and QA teams
- Facilitate discussions, clarify requirements, and resolve issues
- Provide regular status updates and documentation
