About the Venue:
Crowne Plaza Shell Cove Marina is a brand-new hotel set to redefine the South Coast hospitality scene. Located on Shellharbour's stunning waterfront, the hotel offers multiple dining outlets, premium conference and event spaces, and breathtaking coastal views.
As part of an exciting opening phase, this is a rare opportunity to play a key leadership role in shaping the culinary direction of a landmark hospitality destination.
About the Role:
We are seeking a driven Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations at Crowne Plaza Shell Cove Marina.
As Executive Chef, you will oversee all food operations across the hotel's restaurant, bar, pool bar, in-room dining, and conference & event offerings. You will be responsible for setting exceptional culinary standards, leading and developing a high-performing kitchen brigade, and ensuring consistency, quality, and innovation across every dining experience.
Working closely with the hotel's leadership team, this is a unique opportunity to establish the culinary identity of a brand-new hotel while delivering exceptional experiences for guests across multiple outlets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all kitchen operations across the restaurant, bar, pool bar, in-room dining, and conference & event spaces
- Deliver menus that are consistent, high quality, and aligned with the hotel's standards
- Recruit, train, mentor, and inspire a high-performing culinary team
- Manage food costs, labour budgets, stock control, and supplier relationships effectively
- Ensure compliance with food safety, WHS, and operational procedures
- Collaborate with senior hotel leadership to deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Drive consistency, innovation,
and operational excellence across all culinary offerings
About You:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef within premium hotels, resorts, or high-volume hospitality venues
- Robust leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and mentor large teams
- Excellent financial acumen, including food cost control, labour management, and menu engineering
- Passion for quality, consistency, and delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Highly organised with the ability to successfully manage multiple outlets and varied service styles
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
