Outstanding opportunity to join one of Australia's largest privately owned civil and remediation contractors, a national organisation operating for over 15 years. Having won several exciting new projects, an experienced Civil Project Manager is required to join the team.
The role:
Based in Northern NSW / South East QLD, successful Experienced Project Manager will be based onsite managing civil projects. You will be supported by an experienced leadership team, inhouse delivery resources and interstate resources where required.
The key role of the Project Manager is to identify and allocate appropriate resources to deliver simple, complex and large scale projects, from the pre-project planning phase to practical completion, in accordance with contract conditions and other stakeholder requirements. Applicants are required to have the necessary skillset to identify and problem solve project issues to ensure that works conform to the appropriate standards and that they are completed on budget and within agreed timeframes. The applicant must demonstrate effective consultation and communication skills through regular engagement and the development of sound working relationship with project stakeholders.
Under the direction of the Operations Manager and General Manager, the applicant will undertake a variety of duties which are expected to be delivered autonomously and prioritised according to business requirements.
The Project Manager is required to be either tertiary qualified with an advanced / in-depth knowledge of project management / business management fundamentals or substantial industry experience in the delivery of projects.
Project
Managers hold sufficient competence and technical understanding within a specific discipline offered by the business (ie. environmental sciences, chemistry, process engineering, mechanical engineering, corporate / strategic management and/or relevant specialised tradesperson).
Project Managers are expected to have a minimum of 10 years’ industry experience, which includes at least 5 years undertaking project management roles within the civil industry, with a proven record of successful delivery of projects.

- Attend pre-tender meetings and site visits
- Managing civil construction projects from pre-project planning phase to practical completion
- Client and stakeholder liaison engagement
- EHSQ management plan experience
- Allocating and coordination of resources
- Sourcing and ordering equipment and materials
- Engaging and coordinating subcontractors and service providers
- Maintaining compliance with legislative requirements
- Management of project financials
- Confident organisational skills
- Great people and team leadership skills
