Title: Facility Layout Designer (Mechanical)

Type: Casual Contract

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Perth, WA

Overview The Facility Layout Designer is responsible for the development of facility layouts from concept to detailed design & providing technical assurance, risk assessments and supporting project progress through various phases of project development.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop facility layouts, site layouts, and plot plans for greenfield studies, major projects, and operational projects.
- Create and maintain 3D models to support project delivery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve project challenges and provide technical solutions.
- Manage and engage with internal and external stakeholders, contractors, and consultants.
- Participate in project meetings, including those across international time zones when required.




- Ensure layouts and designs comply with relevant project standards, frameworks, and design requirements.

Key Requirements

- Associate Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
- Proven experience using 3D design software, preferably Aveva PDMS/E3D or Bentley OpenPlant .
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Prior experience in the oil and gas industry is highly regarded.
- Robust ability to work across multiple project scopes and collaborate with various engineering disciplines and stakeholders.
- Commitment to safety-in-design principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
