Pearl Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Factory Hand / Storeperson for our client based in Landsdale who are a national manufacturer of high-quality ground support products for the underground mining industry and is currently expanding its operations. This is a varied, hands-on role offering an approximately 50/50 split between factory production and warehouse duties.
What Will the Role Involve? Working across both the factory and warehouse, your responsibilities will include:
- Operating machinery used to manufacture friction bolts and drilling equipment
- Completing basic welding using semi-automatic welding machinery
- Using hand and power tools for assembly and production work
- Operating production support equipment
- Completing general factory and labouring duties
- Operating high-reach and counterbalance forklifts
- Loading and unloading trucks and shipping containers
- Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch
- Receiving and checking incoming goods
- Completing quality control checks
- Assisting with inventory and stock control
- Supporting general warehouse and production operations
Hours of Work
- Monday to Thursday: 5:00am-1:30pm
- Friday: 5:00am-11:00am
What Do You Need to Be Successful?
- Current forklift licence and previous forklift operating experience
- Previous factory, manufacturing, warehousing or labouring experience
- Confidence using hand and power tools
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
- Physical fitness and ability to complete manual handling duties
- Full Australian working rights
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment
