Location: Merredin regional area, Western Australia (situated 30km east of Merredin, approximately 3 hours from Perth)

About Warakirri Cropping Warakirri Cropping is a premier, Australian-owned agricultural enterprise overseeing an expansive portfolio of more than 155,000 hectares of broadacre cropping assets across Australia. Mawarra is a primary aggregation within the eastern wheatbelt of Western Australia, spanning over 24,000 arable hectares. - Precision Agriculture: Each farm is supported by a central precision agriculture team, including specialists and an on-farm expert who helps to implement new technologies and farming practices.
- Agronomy & Data: Every farm has a dedicated agronomist who focuses on crop performance, soil testing, and using harvest data to guide variable-rate applications across each paddock.
- Technology & Sustainability: The business uses AI and data analytics to improve decision-making, while applying sustainable farming practices to increase productivity in lower-performing areas.
About the Opportunity This position is designed for a forward-thinking, technically proficient farm leader ready to take on significant operational influence. You will be the central coordinator for the property's daily operations.

Primary Responsibilities of the Role:
- Oversee and coordinate day-to-day cropping logistics, sequence workflows, and timing to optimise yield.
- Supervise, and mentor a high-performing operational team of farms hands and machinery operators.
- Partner directly with the Farm Manager to drive operational planning, risk mitigation, and corporate decision-making.
- Work with consulting agronomists, and precision ag teams to monitor and maintain crop and soil health profiles.
- Uphold corporate Work Health and Safety (WHS) protocols and fatigue management standards, enforcing a rigorous, proactive safety culture.
- Maintain a high level of technical competency including spraying, sowing, and harvest operations.
- Implement farm development initiatives, including operational improvements and innovative new farming systems
Required Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Farm Manager or 2IC overseeing a smaller-scale enterprise
- A strong track record in managing dryland winter cropping systems combined with extensive experience handling modern agricultural machinery.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with an innate ability to lead teams, solve logistical problems, and build trust.
- A high degree of personal initiative, self-motivation, and a desire to look towards continuous improvement.
