Field Service Mechanic
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- Minimum Grade 12
- Qualified Earthmoving equipment Mechanic (Red Seal/Trade Test)
- Valid Driver’s License - Code 10/14
- 5 years’ experience as a Field Service Mechanic Diesel Mechanic
- Must have knowledge on caterpillar and Bell equipment
- Must have knowledge of On Key and SIS(Cat) systems
- Pre-employment medical required
- Computer Literate
Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To)
- Always maintain professional workmanship standards
- Strictly adhere to applicable Quality Assurance Processes & Procedures
- Have knowledge of engines, hydraulics pneumatics, undercarriage and auto electrical.
- Repair loaders dumpers excavators’ trucks & LDV’s within specification and agreed repair times
- Ensure complete, accurate and timeous job card feedback and repair reports
- Conduct troubleshooting,
Fault Diagnosis and do RCA on failures
- Perform machine inspections on vehicles and compile backlog lists
- Coordinate assistants to carried out first line of maintenance tasks
- Pro-actively support & participate in safety & work practice related initiatives
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment in accordance with the applicable policy & prescriptions
- Keeping own working area clean, tidy & presentable always
- Managing & maintaining tooling in valuable, serviceable condition
