Field Service Technician – Weighing

Deliver Technical Support Across Heavy Industry

At Aptella, we deliver intelligent positioning and automation technology that improves productivity, safety, and performance across construction, mining, geospatial, and civil industries. We are seeking a hands-on and technically capable Field Service Technician – Weighing to join our Field Services team, supporting customers across mining, construction, and heavy equipment environments.

The Role

This is a field-based role responsible for installations, diagnostics, repairs, calibrations, and customer support across weighing systems and heavy equipment technology. You’ll work across equipment including loaders, excavators, forklifts, telehandlers, and material handlers, while supporting customers onsite with troubleshooting, training, and technical advice.

Key responsibilities include

- Diagnose, repair, install, and calibrate weighing systems
- Deliver high-quality customer support and technical training
- Complete service reporting and documentation through D365 systems
- Maintain NMI compliance and equipment standards
- NMI 6.8 Preferred but NOT essential
- Manage vehicle stock, tooling, and field equipment
- Identify and report WHS risks, incidents,



and improvement opportunities
- Support continuous improvement and product feedback initiatives
- Work safely within mining, construction, and remote site environments

About You

You are a practical, customer-focused technician who enjoys problem solving and working autonomously in the field.

You bring

- Mechanical, hydraulic, auto-electrical, or related technical experience
- Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic capability
- Experience in customer-facing or field service roles
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work in mining/construction environments
- Solid communication and documentation skills
- Construction White Card and open driver’s licence
- Willingness to travel, work overtime, and undertake remote/site-based work

Experience within weighing systems, heavy equipment, mining, or industrial technology environments will be highly regarded.
