The prospect

This is a senior, hands-on Finance Manager role. You'll take day-to-day ownership of the finance operation, help build and train a new offshore team in the Philippines, and pick up high-impact projects across a transaction-heavy, multi-entity business. It's a genuine ownership role with room to grow as the function scales.

What you'll do

- Own the month-end close end-to-end - accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and the management pack
- Prepare and oversee the monthly board pack, including analysis and supporting schedules
- Prepare consolidated reports across the group, including intercompany eliminations, balances and transfer pricing / recharge mechanics
- Review and approve bank reconciliations across all entities
- Produce lender / financier reporting and support covenant and borrowing-base monitoring
- Lead the transition of finance in-house - managing the handover from our incumbent provider cleanly and with no disruption
- Help hire, onboard, train and supervise the offshore finance team (AR, AP/Fleet,



Payroll & Compliance); set ways of working, review standards and escalation paths
- Support group compliance: BAS, FBT, payroll tax, STP and year-end audit and financial statements
- Assist with Baseplan and Xero administration and data integrity, and drive process improvement using AI and automation
- Take on ad hoc projects and commercial analysis - data-quality audits, portfolio / book analytics and funding-related modelling

What you'll bring

- Experience managing a team
- CA / CPA qualified (or equivalent); degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Strong technical accounting, including consolidations and intercompany
- Solid understanding of Australian GST, BAS, FBT, payroll tax and compliance
- Excellent Excel skills and confidence working across financial systems and data
- Genuinely self-directing - able to take ownership, run to deadlines and brief a busy Financial Controller concisely
- Experience leading or coaching teams, ideally offshore / outsourced
- High attention to detail and a consistent track record of hitting monthly deadlines

Nice to have

- Process and systems improvement using AI and automation
- Experience with Baseplan or a similar asset / fleet ERP
- Proficiency in Power BI and Xero
- Experience in a lender-backed / debt-funded business (covenant and borrowing-base reporting)
- Experience managing a provider transition or standing up an offshore finance team
