Finance Manager (Fixed-Term Contract: 14–16 months - Immediate commencement)

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team on a fixed-term contract of 14–16 months, covering a period of planned leave. Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a broad and substantive role with responsibility for the financial management, reporting and compliance of the business. You will lead the Finance and Systems team working closely with the Partners, providing strategic financial advice while leading the operational day-to-day finance function. What you'll be doing
You will lead the finance function across:
Financial reporting — monthly, quarterly and annual accounts, general ledger integrity and management reporting
Board reporting — preparing clear financial analysis, insights and performance reporting
Budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and working capital management
Development of the annual financial business plan and targets
Compliance and taxation, including Payroll Tax and BAS lodgement, ATO obligations and liaison with external accountants and advisors
Managing accounts payable, receivable and payroll
Asset register maintenance and capital expenditure oversight
Insurance, leases and supplier relationship management About you To be successful in this role, you should have:
A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, and CA or CPA qualification
Minimum 5 years' experience in a finance management role, ideally within a consulting business
Strong capability across management and financial reporting, AP/AR, payroll and tax compliance
Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
Experience supporting business planning and strategic decision-making at a senior level
Strong systems capability — minimum 2 years’ experience using MYOB AccountRight and advanced Excel skills.
Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is an advantage.
A detail-oriented, process-driven approach with a strong focus on accuracy and confidentiality
