Working within the Commercial and Financial Services team, you will partner with stakeholders across the organisation to provide financial advice, investigate and resolve finance-related enquiries, process transactions and workflows, and contribute to quality financial outcomes. This role offers variety and collaboration,
with opportunities to work across different business areas while building strong relationships, influencing stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement.
Your attention to detail, analytical approach and commitment to service excellence will help support Council's purpose of Growing Townsville and delivering value to our community.
About You
You are a motivated and customer-focused finance professional who enjoys working collaboratively to achieve positive business outcomes. You bring strong financial administration and stakeholder engagement skills, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
To Be Successful In This
Role, You Will Have Minimum three years' experience in a Finance Officer or similar finance-related role.
Certificate IV in Business, or progress towards a Bachelor degree in Business or related discipline.
Strong knowledge of financial processes, reconciliations and finance administration.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to build relationships and effectively partner with stakeholders across a business.
Strong customer service focus and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
Ability to investigate issues, analyse information and recommend solutions.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence.
