About the role

As our Finance Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of efficient and accurate finance services across Tourism and Events Queensland. You will be responsible for a broad range of transactional finance activities including billing, accounts receivable, travel and, expense reporting and reconciliation, corporate credit card reconciliation and administration plus providing support to the payroll specialist for both domestic and international environments.

This role is offered on a part-time basis, working 3 days per week, for a 12-month fixed term.

Working closely with employees, suppliers and stakeholders across the organisation, you will provide responsive customer service, ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, and contribute to the continuous improvement of finance systems and processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented qualified who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, solving problems and building strong relationships.

Key duties:





- Raise and process customer invoices, receipting and accounts receivable activities accurately and within required timeframes.
- Ensure staff travel expense claims, both domestic and International are compliant and complete with required approvals and supporting documentation supplied.
- Administer employee expenses and corporate credit card transactions, including acquittals and compliance monitoring.
- Investigate and resolve finance-related queries from employees, customers and suppliers in a timely and professional manner.
- Support payroll processing activities, including payroll-related payments, reconciliations and approvals.
- Identify and implement improvements to finance systems, processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, compliance and customer service.

- Experience in billing, accounts receivable, expense processing or corporate credit card administration.
- Demonstrated ability to work accurately and efficiently while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Robust stakeholder engagement skills,



with the ability to build positive relationships and provide responsive customer service.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and financial data management.
- Proven ability to provide consistent, high-quality support and solutions to customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating initiative, organisation and attention to detail.
