Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting across allocated entities.
The Financial
Accountant is responsible for the preparation and accuracy of the general ledger, ensuring timeliness and accuracy in the delivery of financial reporting and month-end close processes. The role coordinates cash flow and ensures data integrity across the ledger.

Accountant ensures compliance with all accounting standards, statutory responsibilities, and company policies and procedures within their scope of responsibility. Key Responsibilities
Manage the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger and financial transactions
Coordinate and complete month-end close processes, including eliminations, consolidations, balance sheet reconciliations, and accruals
Prepare and assist with financial reporting, including month-end reporting
Finance Business Partner role to provide financial insights and recommendations to improve performance
Coordinate asset management, lease accounting, and insurance renewal across the BBD Group
Assist with external audits, income tax processes, and implementation of audit recommendations
Contribute to the treasury function
Transfer pricing policy implementation
Support the annual budgeting process and finance improvement projects
Provide support and training to the Assistant Accountant and backup across the accounting team as required To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline.
CA or CPA qualification.
5–7 years' experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role with medium/large business experience including consolidation and eliminations
Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of Australian accounting standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Robust communication and leadership/management skills.
Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
