Financial Crime Data Analyst – Banking Data & Compliance We are seeking an experienced Financial Crime Data Analyst to join a large-scale banking data initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and data analysis skills, along with hands-on experience in Financial Services, AML, and Financial Crime data domains. Key Responsibilities:

Work on large-scale data integration and data analysis initiatives within a banking setting.

Perform data analysis, profiling, validation, and investigation using SQL and database querying techniques.

Support data modelling activities and contribute to the design and understanding of conceptual data models.

Analyse Financial Crime data related to Transaction Monitoring (TM), Transaction Threshold Reporting (TTR), International Funds Transfer Instructions (IFTI), customer screening, and payment screening.

Work with customer risk assessment and regulatory reporting data requirements.

Collaborate with business, technology, and compliance teams to understand data requirements and deliver insights.

Ensure data accuracy, quality, and integrity across enterprise data platforms.

Required Skills & Experience:

3+ years of experience in data integration,



data analysis, or related data roles.

Strong intermediate-level SQL skills with experience in database querying and data profiling.

Experience with conceptual data modelling and understanding of enterprise data structures.

2+ years of experience in Financial Services, Banking, AML, or Financial Crime domains.

Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:

Transaction Threshold Reporting (TTR)

Transaction Monitoring (TM)

International Funds Transfer Instructions (IFTI)

Customer and Payment Screening

Customer Risk Assessment

Tax Reporting Preferred Experience

Experience working within the Westpac data ecosystem or similar banking environments.

Familiarity with platforms such as EDW, ADAPT, GCM, and related enterprise data assets.

Experience working with regulatory, compliance, or risk data initiatives.
