Charles Elena is recruiting Business Analysts with Financial Crime expertise to join a specialist team. This is a data-heavy, compliance-focused role requiring confirmed prior Westpac experience — candidates without this will not be considered.

About You You are a highly skilled Business Analyst with a strong background in financial crime compliance and large-scale data integration. You are confident working across complex data environments, translating regulatory and business requirements into actionable analysis, and navigating the Westpac data ecosystem with ease.

Required Experience & Skills

- 3+ years of experience working on large-scale data integration and data analysis initiatives, with intermediate proficiency in SQL, database querying, data profiling, and conceptual data modelling
- 2+ years of experience in Financial Services or Financial Crime, including:



Transaction Threshold Reporting (TTR)
- Transaction Monitoring (TM)
- International Funds Transfer Instructions (IFTI)
- Customer and Payment Screening
- Customer Risk Assessment
- Tax Reporting
- Demonstrated experience working within the Westpac data ecosystem, including platforms such as EDW, ADAPT, GCM, and related data assets
- Prior Westpac experience is mandatory — candidates without this will not be considered
- A self-sufficient and resourceful operator who works efficiently under pressure and delivers without the need for hand-holding
- Comfortable operating with confidence and composure in fast-paced, high-pressure environments

Qualifications Must be located in Sydney with full working rights. A tertiary qualification in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline is advantageous.
