Victorian Petfood Processors is seeking a skilled and reliable Fork Lift Operator to join our team in Camperdown, VIC. This is a casual position that plays a vital role in our warehousing and distribution operations. As a Fork Lift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, stacking and storing materials throughout our facility, ensuring that our supply chain operates smoothly and goods are delivered to customers on time.
This position is essential to maintaining the productivity and safety standards of our warehouse operations.
Key responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and in accordance with workplace health and safety regulations
- Load, unload and move goods throughout the warehouse, ensuring materials are handled with care to prevent damage
- Stack products efficiently to maximise storage space whilst maintaining accessibility and safety
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and warehouse transactions
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues or defects immediately
- Keep the warehouse clean and organised, adhering to health and safety standards at all times
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff and management to meet daily operational targets
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures, attending safety briefings as required
What we're looking for
- A current and valid forklift license
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution workplace
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety practices
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully
- Good physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude with a focus on teamwork
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to record inventory movements accurately
- Experience in the food or manufacturing industry is advantageous but not essential
