Full time Chef required for Sixteen Ounces Cafe The Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking café-style meals while maintaining high standards of food quality, kitchen operations and food safety. Duties include, but are not limited to:

- plan and develop café-style breakfast, brunch, lunch and seasonal menu items in consultation with the management;
- prepare, season and cook meals using fresh ingredients to meet customer orders and maintain consistent quality and presentation;
- monitor the quality of food at all stages of preparation, cooking and presentation to ensure high standards are maintained;
- coordinate kitchen workflow during busy service periods to ensure meals are prepared efficiently and served in a timely manner;
- estimate food requirements, monitor stock levels, order food supplies and maintain appropriate inventory to support daily kitchen operations;
- inspect, receive and store food ingredients appropriately to maintain freshness, quality and minimise food wastage;
- create and introduce new dishes and seasonal specials to enhance the café menu and meet customer preferences;




- supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, cooking methods, food presentation and safe kitchen practices;
- assist with allocating kitchen duties and monitoring staff performance to support the efficient operation of the kitchen;
- maintain kitchen equipment, utensils and food preparation areas in a clean, safe and operational condition;
- ensure compliance with all applicable food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety, and relevant regulatory requirements; and
- monitor food costs, portion control and kitchen wastage, and recommend measures to improve efficiency while maintaining food quality.

Skills and Qualification AQF Cert IV in Cookery or above qualification, OR at least one year of relevant work experience

Excellent communication skills, speak fluent English.

Salary range: $79,500-$85,000 per annum
