VDG Services is seeking a reliable and motivated full time Commercial Cleaner to join our growing operations team for specialist periodical cleaning projects, to assist with planned shift coverage across existing commercial cleaning contracts and respond to reactive operational requirements when needed. One week may involve carpet cleaning, pressure cleaning, strip and seals or floor restoration, while the next may include providing coverage across our commercial cleaning portfolio. Work may be scheduled during the day, afternoon, overnight or early morning depending on operational requirements.
This role is best suited to someone who enjoys variety, is flexible with their availability and takes pride in delivering high-quality work across different environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Carpet cleaning and extraction
- Strip and seal of hard floors
- Floor scrubbing, polishing and restoration
- High-pressure cleaning
- Graffiti removal
- Internal and external window cleaning
- Operating commercial cleaning equipment and machinery
- Completing scheduled periodical cleaning projects across multiple client sites
- Responding to emergency cleaning and reactive call-outs when required
- Providing shift coverage across existing commercial cleaning contracts
- Travelling throughout the Sydney metropolitan area
- Maintaining company equipment and vehicles
- Completing digital reports and communicating with management
Essential Requirements
- Previous commercial cleaning or similar hands-on industry experience
- Demonstrated experience operating commercial cleaning equipment, including carpet extractors, Polivac machines, automatic walk-behind scrubbers, ride-on scrubbers and sweepers
- Experience carrying out carpet shampooing and extraction, strip and sealing of hard floors, floor scrubbing and other periodical cleaning services
- Current NSW Driver Licence
- Reliable, flexible and able to adapt to changing operational requirements
- Availability to work day, afternoon, overnight and weekend shifts as scheduled
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physically fit and capable of manual work
- Professional presentation and good communication skills
