About the role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Diploma Room Leader to join our team at Caterpillar Kidz ELC' in Reservoir, Victoria. This part-time role is essential in providing high-quality early learning and care to the children in our care. As the Diploma Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of educators and ensuring the delivery of engaging and developmentally appropriate programs that support the growth and wellbeing of our young learners.
What you'll be doing
- Lead and manage a team of early childhood educators, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Develop and implement engaging and meaningful educational programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework
- Observe, document and assess children's learning and development, and use this information to inform program planning
- Ensure a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment that supports children's physical, social, emotional and cognitive development
- Build strong relationships with families and communicate regularly to ensure a seamless experience
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all regulatory and legislative requirements
- Participate in ongoing professional development to continuously improve practice
What we're looking for
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Extensive experience working in a similar role within the early childhood education and care sector
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of educators
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and current best practices in early childhood education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Commitment to providing high-quality, inclusive and engaging learning experiences for children
- Current working with children check and first aid certification
