Location: Bredasdorp, Western Cape, South Africa Afrimat (CM) Western Cape (Pty) Ltd, based at Driefontein Quarry – Bredasdorp, has a vacancy for a General Worker (Fixed Term – 6 Months) Minimum Qualifications / Experience Minimum Grade 12

Be literate and functionally numerate

Possess basic knowledge of machinery

Pre-employment medical required

Ability to work under pressure

Be self-disciplined and able to work without supervision

Ability to work within the team

Ability to stand for long periods

Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices, and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites

Assist with manual labour and plant maintenance

Be able to work irregular hours which may include night work Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To) Assist with performing daily pre-start inspection checks

Ensure that the plant is cleaned regularly and as when required

Assist with general maintenance tasks on and around the plant





Maintain the cleanliness of the general working area i.e. cleaning of screens, etc

Carry out other instructions given by your superior

Report any general elementary problems to his/her immediate supervisor.

Adhere to all SHE rules and regulations that are applicable on the site

Assist with all screen changes

Acknowledge that Management reserves the right to allocate additional tasks when for whatever reason the task cannot be completed on a standard allocated job.
