Our client is a contemporary, award-winning, SA family-owned hardware store and garden centre that offers superior service to their commercial and retail customers. This level of exceptional service has allowed them to hand their business down through the generations, retain their stable, experienced team and maintain the loyalty of their customers.
This role reports to the Store Manager and controls all incoming stock into the store safely, efficiently and accurately. This ensures a high degree of accuracy in their reporting system, which you will also be accountable for, including organising credits for faulty stock and advising customers that their order has arrived. You will also be responsible for delegating and overseeing the junior casual staff to ensure they are efficient in their stock replenishment.
We are seeking an applicant who possesses the following;
- Customer Focus
- Projects a professional image by maintaining a neat appearance
- Can process retail customer sales through POS accurately
- Has the physical capability to unload goods safely and ensure unloaded pallets/items/boxes are checked
- Invoices match goods received, and any discrepancies are reported to the supplier
- Process all claims and follow up where required
- Advise customers when their orders arrive
- Communicate with suppliers directly regarding claims and discrepancies
- Lead and direct stock fill staff to achieve the maximum efficiency in stock replenishment
You will be team-focused and possess a safety-first attitude at all times. The ability to work under pressure in a seasonally busy environment will also be an advantage, whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy and logic.
