This opportunity will require a FRACGP highest qualification, to practice full-time or part time or FIFO (Fly-In/Out) with majority of time onsite, rather than fly out.

BOWEN is a stunning region of our northern Queensland coastline, known as the "Top of the Whitsundays" 1 hour north of Airlie Beach. It's 1,100km north of Brisbane, sitting between Mackay and Townsville, 2 hours either way.

Bowen boasts 8 beautiful, sandy beaches, within 10 minutes reach of each other and its climate is officially classified as "tropical savanna climate". The dry-season (May to October) brings blue skies, very little rain and low humidity. This is what makes Bowen a massive getaway and holiday destination!!

This location is perfect for those who love the great outdoors; fishing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, boating, jet-ski and everything on the water. The area offers a warm and friendly community feel with local markets, fresh produce and easy conversations. The workforce in Bowen is heavily anchored by agriculture, resources/logistics, trades, and community services. This makes for a diverse patient base of: farming and agriculture, trade persons, mining/port workers, DIDO miners,



rail operations, holiday makers/travellers, hospitality staff, aged care & community service workers and healthcare from the Bowen Hospital.

An incoming GP will enjoy a busy practice, within a non-corporate space, with Dr owners and a large patient base, well established over the last 20 years. A new FRACGP will enjoy full autonomy of billing, to a mixed and private bill schedule, with full appointments and 100% support from their very first day.

Requirements:
