We’re an exciting new café opening in Guildford, specialising in freshly made cold sandwiches, breakfast favourites, quality coffee. We’re looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Chef who is eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced and new environment.
About the Role
As a Graduate Chef, you’ll work to prepare and present high-quality breakfast dishes and freshly made cold sandwiches while maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards. This is a fantastic chance for someone that is looking to build their culinary career and gain hands on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of fresh cold sandwiches, wraps, and breakfast menu items.
- Assist with food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
- Ensure all food is prepared to a consistently high standard.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and WHS procedures.
- Assist with stock rotation, inventory checks, and minimising food waste.
About You
- Recently completed a Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
- Passionate about food and eager to learn.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Availability to work mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
