IntelliDesign partners with a cohort of companies to create game changing electronic products for industry. The products we create are designed and manufactured in Seventeen Mile Rocks, Brisbane and are deployed globally in medical, mining, transportation, defence, and industrial environments.

Examples of products we’ve worked on include pool chlorinators, mining vehicle computers, collision avoidance systems, ruggedised AI computer systems, environmental monitoring systems and sensors.

Join our multidisciplinary engineering team as a Graduate Software Engineer and build practical experience across the full product development lifecycle. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to real client projects and develop software that connects directly with electronic hardware. Key Responsibilities

Software Development

- Develop, test, deploy and maintain embedded software under the guidance of experienced engineers.
- Write clear, efficient and reliable code in C and C++.
- Support software integration, debugging and issue resolution across recent and existing products.

Project Delivery

- Contribute to project planning, estimates and regular team updates.




- Manage assigned tasks and raise risks, questions or changes early.
- Work collaboratively with software, electronics, mechanical and project teams.
- Participate in sprint planning, technical reviews and project retrospectives.
- Participate in client meetings.

Engineering & Quality

- Use version control, issue tracking and continuous integration tools as part of day-to-day development.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test records and release information.
- Participate in peer code reviews and apply feedback to strengthen your capability.
- Follow IntelliDesign’s quality, safety and secure development practices.
- Support verification and validation activities, including bench testing and fault finding.

Continue building your technical knowledge through coaching, practical experience and self-directed learning.

What we are looking for

We’re looking for a curious and practical graduate who enjoys solving problems, learning from others and seeing software come to life in a physical product. You will bring:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or a related discipline, completed recently or nearing completion.
- Foundational programming capability in C, C++ or Rust through university projects, internships, personal projects or work experience.
- An understanding of software development fundamentals, including debugging,



automated testing and version control.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to approach technical challenges methodically.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to working in a multidisciplinary team.
- An interest in embedded systems, electronics, IoT or real-time software.
- Experience developing for microcontrollers and embedded linux targets. e.g stm32, esp32 or nrf
- Exposure to different RTOS’s such as Zephyr or FreeRTOS
- A willingness to ask questions, take feedback and keep developing your technical capability.
- Australian working rights and the ability to work from our Seventeen Mile Rocks location.
