Creative Spaces is a multidisciplinary exhibition design studio based in Perth, delivering projects across Australia. We design exhibitions, interpretation and environmental graphics that help people understand, feel and connect with the stories around them. Our work brings together research, storytelling and built form to create experiences shaped by place and meaningful to the people who interact with them.
We’re looking for a full-time or part-time Graphic Designer with excellent Adobe InDesign skills and a strong understanding of designing artwork for large format print (including production-ready setup and print specifications). You’ll design exhibition graphics, signage and other media in collaboration with our agile team, with a strong focus on creating clear, engaging outcomes that support the visitor experience. This role is based in our Perth studio.

About the role
As our Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing interpretive and graphic artwork for museums, exhibitions, visitor centres and public spaces
- Designing interior / exterior signage and environmental graphics
- Producing print/press-ready artwork, ensuring files meet required specifications for large format and signage production
- Proofing all documentation and artwork prior to issuing to clients and/or suppliers
- Preparing client presentations and project collateral
- Managing start-to-end print and fabrication requirements, including seeking quotes and coordinating delivery/installation
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, suppliers and internal team members
- Updating the Creative Spaces website and portfolio pages
- Managing Creative Spaces social media accounts
- Assisting with submissions for proposals, tenders and reports
- Supporting general office and administrative duties as required
This hands-on role offers the chance to work across the full project lifecycle, from concept development through to production and installation. What we’re looking for The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a graphic design role (studio experience preferred)
- A tertiary qualification in Graphic Design (or equivalent)
- Strong conceptual and creative design skills, with excellent attention to detail
- A love of typography and designing layouts
- The ability to interpret briefs clearly and collaborate with others to achieve client objectives
- Confidence communicating with clients and suppliers
- Strong organisation and time management skills (ability to self-manage tasks and deadlines)
- A professional, positive attitude and a genuine interest in working in a small team
Key skills & software
- Highly proficient in Adobe InDesign (essential), including document setup, style management, long-document control, and production workflows
- Demonstrated experience preparing files for large format print (essential) — including working to supplier specifications and producing accurate, print-ready artwork
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Location Our friendly studio is located in Perth, less than 5 minutes from Mt Lawley train station and close to other transport routes.
