About Zawa and DesignKit

Zawa is an AI-powered content creation platform built for the people responsible for small-business marketing—including social media managers, in-house marketers, freelancers, and brand-conscious SMBs. Users upload a product image or start from a prompt to create social-ready short videos and marketing content in minutes.

DesignKit is an AI-powered e-commerce creative platform for sellers who need to produce commerce content at volume. Users upload a product image, add selling points, and generate listing images and product videos ready to publish across e-commerce platforms.

Each product requires its own customer understanding, positioning, creative approach, and go-to-market strategy. Learnings may transfer, but should be validated rather than assumed.

We are early in taking both products global. Our immediate priority is learning quickly: which audiences respond, which positioning resonates, which channels can scale, and which parts of the product experience most improve activation and conversion in new markets.

About the role

We need a hands-on Growth Manager who can take a hypothesis and turn it into a shipped, measured test—quickly and repeatedly. This role exists to increase the speed and quality of our growth experimentation.

You will work closely with the Head of Global Growth to set priorities, sequence experiments, and make go/no-go decisions. Once a priority is agreed, you will independently drive it from hypothesis to launch, learning, and recommendation without requiring detailed instruction at every stage.

You will likely work across various growth levers to test and learn - including but not limited to activation and product growth experiments, revenue and trial optimisation, localisation, go-to-market motions, conversion optimisation, and paid acquisition.

This is a senior individual contributor role combining hands-on growth execution with strong experimentation and commercial judgment. You will build the test plan, assemble the people and resources needed to run it, launch the experiment, interpret the results, and recommend the next move.

What you’ll do

- Turn growth hypotheses into transparent test plans and briefs, and move them from concept to launch with minimal overhead.

- Own the execution of activation and product-growth experiments in partnership with Product, including drafting lightweight PRDs or experiment specifications.
- Identify and test opportunities across the trial and purchase journey, including trial entry, paywalls, offers, packaging communication, checkout, and trial-to-paid conversion.
- Run market-entry test programmes for priority regions, including localisation, launch planning and execution, creative coordination, external-partner management, and performance analysis.
- Execute paid acquisition tests across Meta, Google, TikTok, and other relevant channels, recognising when paid is the right tool for exploration, validation, or scale.
- Identify and pilot growth opportunities beyond paid acquisition, including creator, influencer, affiliate, referral, partnership, and emerging-channel experiments.
- Prototype and ship lightweight experiments using CMS, no-code and AI tools, or support from Product, Design, and Engineering.
- Partner with Data to define measurement and reporting across acquisition, activation, trial conversion, and revenue, and maintain a prioritised experimentation backlog with a consistent operating cadence.
- Maintain clear customer, positioning, creative, and channel logic for Zawa and DesignKit, while identifying shared learnings and operating efficiencies where appropriate.
- Work effectively across time zones and languages with China-based Product, Design, Creative, and regional teams, including in areas where scope, ownership, or process may still be evolving.

What success looks like In your first stage in the role, you will:

- Increase the throughput of well-designed growth tests that produce clear, decision-useful learnings.
- Establish a repeatable operating cadence that reduces cross-functional bottlenecks and moves tests efficiently from hypothesis to decision.

- Generate clear evidence about audiences, creative approaches, positioning, and channels
- Strengthen the connection between acquisition, activation, trial behaviour, conversion, and revenue so that learnings across the funnel inform both product and growth decisions.
- Identify and validate opportunities to improve trial-to-paid conversion and revenue without compromising user activation or long-term value.
- Build a prioritised and credible pipeline of growth opportunities ready to validate or scale.

What we’re looking for

- 5+ years of experience in growth, growth marketing, product growth, or a similar cross-functional execution role within a startup, scale-up, SaaS, consumer technology, or digital-product business.
- A strong bias towards execution: you would rather ship a well-scoped, imperfect test this week than spend three weeks perfecting a plan.
- Experience testing and scaling growth initiatives that drive sustainable user and revenue growth.
- Hands-on experience with paid acquisition and creative experimentation across Meta, Google, TikTok, or similar channels.
- The ability to write clear briefs, lightweight PRDs, and experiment specifications without extensive guidance.
- Strong analytical judgment: you can frame hypotheses, define success metrics, interpret incomplete evidence, and decide what should happen next.
- The ability to operate independently within a shared strategy, exercising sound judgment about test design, execution trade-offs, and recommended next steps.
- Demonstrated ability to work productively with distributed, cross-language teams and in environments where ownership or process is not always fully defined.
- Confidence using AI tools in day-to-day work for research, analysis, creative ideation, content production, and workflow efficiency.

Bonus points

- Experience launching or growing digital products across international markets.
- Experience with trial, subscription, or monetisation experimentation.
- Experience helping establish new growth functions, channels, or operating models at an early stage.
- Mandarin proficiency for closer collaboration with Product, Design, and Creative teams in China.
