About the role

Axsa Group NT Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Handrail & Balustrade Installer to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Berrimah. In this role, you will be responsible for the professional installation, fabrication, and finishing of handrails and balustrades across a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that all installations meet safety standards, building codes, and client specifications, whilst maintaining the high quality standards that Axsa Group is known for.

Key responsibilities

- Install handrails and balustrades to specifications, ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes and safety regulations
- Measure, cut, and fabricate handrail and balustrade components to accurate measurements and design requirements
- Prepare surfaces and undertake finishing work, including grinding, welding, and applying protective coatings
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols and site requirements
- Assist with problem-solving on site to overcome installation challenges and ensure client satisfaction

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Handrail & Balustrade Installer or in a similar metal fabrication and installation role
- Strong knowledge of handrail and balustrade systems, materials, and installation techniques
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Competency in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade
- Experience with welding and metal fabrication techniques
- Current driver's licence and reliable access to transport
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team




- Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights when required
