HD Fitter / Component Fitter

North of the River Perth | Workshop Based | Temp to Perm | Monday to Friday

Our reputable client is currently seeking experienced HD Fitters and Component Fitters to join their established workshop team-based North of the River in Perth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for long-term, consistent work with the chance to work on major underground mining equipment rebuild projects.

With a strong focus on quality workmanship, safety, and specialised rebuilds, this role offers the opportunity to be part of a skilled team working on high-quality underground mining equipment.

About the Role: Working within a professional workshop environment, you will be responsible for complete machine and component rebuilds, including strip-downs, inspections, repairs, and reassembly to OEM standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Completing major component rebuilds and change-out projects
- Carrying out full machine rebuilds from disassembly through to final assembly
- Strip, inspect, clean, assess, and rebuild mechanical components
- Document and map machine components throughout rebuild processes
- Diagnose faults and identify repair requirements
- Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical drawings
- Complete inspection reports and identify parts requirements




- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship
- Work collaboratively within a skilled and supportive workshop team

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an HD Fitter or Component Fitter
- Previous experience rebuilding underground mining equipment
- Experience working on Sandvik, CAT, Dana, and Kessler equipment/components
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

- $65–$80 per hour, depending on experience
