About the role

Mojo's Kitchen Bar and Bottle Shop is seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our dynamic team in Bunbury, WA. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for crafting delicious sustainable dishes utilising our fresh local food resources, while overseeing all culinary operations, maintaining innovative menus, and leading a team of dedicated kitchen staff. What you'll be doing

- Manage all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff supervision
- Collaborate with the management team to create new and exciting menu items that showcase your culinary expertise and our ethos
- Ensure consistent high-quality food presentation and taste in all dishes
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
- Foster a positive and productive work environment for the kitchen team
- Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of kitchen staff
- Monitor and control food costs to maintain profitability

What we're looking for

- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior culinary role. We would consider a talented Sous Chef looking for advancement.
- Strong knowledge of food trends, preparation techniques, and menu development
- Ability to use a nose to tail approach with all our protiens
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills




- Passion for using high-quality, fresh ingredients to create delicious meals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage with customers and share the stories behind the dishes and foster a connection with our diners
- Working knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
