About the role The Acting Head of Enterprise Architecture provides leadership and oversight of

Council's Enterprise Architecture function during a temporary two-month appointment. The role is responsible for maintaining enterprise architecture governance, supporting the delivery of Council's ICT strategy and roadmap, and ensuring continuity of architectural decision-making across technology initiatives and projects.

The Acting

Head of Enterprise Architecture will work closely with senior leaders, project teams, business stakeholders and technology partners to ensure technology investments align with Council's strategic objectives, architectural standards and governance frameworks. The role will provide expert guidance on enterprise architecture matters, support ongoing strategic and operational initiatives, and maintain effective engagement across the organisation.

The Acting

Head of Enterprise Architecture will promote continuous improvement,

technology innovation, and best practice architecture principles while ensuring business priorities and project outcomes continue to be delivered effectively throughout the acting appointment. This acting arrangement has been established to support the permanent recruitment process for the position and is expected to continue until 25

September 2026. The end date may be adjusted based on operational requirements and the outcome of the recruitment process.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Lead the Enterprise Architecture function, ensuring effective governance,



standards, decision-making and continuity while providing strategic leadership during the acting period.

Drive Council's ICT Strategy and Technology Roadmap by providing enterprise architecture expertise, guiding technology investments and ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.

Partner with executive leaders, project teams and business stakeholders to understand business needs, provide architectural advice and support the successful planning and delivery of ICT initiatives.

Promote innovation and best practice by identifying opportunities in emerging technologies, data, AI, digital solutions and information management while maintaining awareness of industry trends and regulatory requirements.

Oversee architecture governance and operational excellence, including work program delivery, architecture artefacts, standards, documentation, knowledge transfer and successful transition of projects into business-as-usual.

Lead and support a high-performing, customer-focused team through collaboration, coaching, performance development, continuous improvement and effective stakeholder engagement, while undertaking other duties as reasonably required.
