Gooring Jimbila Contracting (GJC) is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our growing team, supporting civil, earthworks and mine closure projects across Western Australia.
This is a hands-on role working on a diverse fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment in a safety-focused and team-oriented setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on heavy mobile plant and equipment
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults efficiently
- Perform breakdown and preventative maintenance
- Complete pre-start inspections and maintenance records
- Work closely with supervisors and operators to minimise downtime
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with safety and company standards
About You
- Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter (Cert III or equivalent)
- Previous experience working on civil or mining equipment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
- Current driver’s licence (HR preferred but not essential)
