We are seeking a Heavy-Duty Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on various heavy equipment, including trucks, mobile plant machinery, light vehicles, and generators as required. The ideal candidate will have a robust mechanical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for ensuring that our equipment operates at peak performance.

Machines:

- Variety of trucks, mainly Volvos and Scania.

- Variety of Mobile Plant

- Generators

- Light Vehicles

Key Responsibilities:

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on trucks, trailers, mobile plant equipment, light vehicles and other equipment as required.

- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.

- Disassemble and reassemble heavy equipment components.

- Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.

- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and repair equipment efficiently.

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.





- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines.

- Collaborate with team members to complete complex repair projects.

Skills/Qualifications:

- Current & Valid Driver's License (HR Preferred)

- National Police Clearance (validity dependant on site)

- Working At Heights (validity dependant on site)

- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate

- High Risk Forklift Licence (Desirable)

- Proven experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic working on trucks, trailers, mobile plant, or similar equipment.

- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.

- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.

- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Commitment to safety.
