Role Description The Helpdesk Analyst will provide first-line technical support to users by responding to IT service requests and resolving hardware, software, and system-related issues in a timely and professional manner. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality IT support, maintaining service standards, and contributing to a positive user experience.
The position will receive, log, prioritize, and track support requests through the helpdesk system, troubleshoot technical issues, and escalate complex cases when necessary. The role will also assist with the installation and configuration of computer hardware, software applications, user accounts, and peripheral devices while ensuring accurate documentation of support activities.
Key responsibilities include diagnosing technical problems, providing remote and on-site support, monitoring service tickets, maintaining IT asset records, supporting system maintenance activities, and assisting with user onboarding and offboarding processes. The Helpdesk Analyst will also contribute to knowledge base documentation, promote IT security best practices, and support continuous improvement of IT support services.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems, computer hardware, software applications, and basic networking principles.
- Familiarity with IT service management processes, helpdesk ticketing systems, and technical troubleshooting methodologies.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, user account administration, and common business applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to manage multiple support requests, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices, data protection, and service quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to delivering effective and reliable technical support.
